As a new year begins, we pause not only to celebrate new possibilities, but to remember the courage that made them possible.
Because freedom did not come easily. It was carried on the shoulders of heroes who stood for this nation, for peace, and for the future we now live in.
While the calendar turns forward, their sacrifice remains timeless.
Some served and returned home changed forever.
Some gave everything and never came back.
All answered a call greater than themselves.
This new year exists because of their bravery. Because they believed in protecting something beyond their own lives. Their service is not confined to history books or memorial walls — it lives in every peaceful morning, every family gathered safely, every moment of freedom we often take for granted.
As we step into this year, we carry gratitude in our hearts. We remember the men and women who stood firm in the face of uncertainty so others could live without fear. Their courage continues to inspire generations who may never fully understand the weight of their sacrifice.
🙏 We pray for those who served and still carry unseen burdens.
🙏 We pray for families who live with absence, memory, and pride intertwined.
🙏 We pray that their legacy is always honored, never forgotten.
This year, may our remembrance be deeper than words.
May our gratitude extend beyond a single day.
May our hearts stay mindful of the cost of freedom.
Today, and every day, we honor our heroes — not only with remembrance, but with lives lived in appreciation of the peace they protected. ❤️🕯️🇺🇸As a new year begins, we pause not only to celebrate new possibilities, but to remember the courage that made them possible.

During a recent visit to Scranton Army Ammunition Plant and General Dynamics-OTS Wilkes Barre, the Army's two leading metal parts manufacturers, I was impressed by the dedicated workforce and unique forging capabilities to meet JPEO A&A’s requirements for forged metal parts.
