May is National Bike Safety Month! 🚲 Heading out for a bike ride? Don’t forget your bike safety essentials!

1. ALWAYS wear a helmet and make sure it is properly fitted.
2. Wear bright or reflective clothing so drivers can see you, especially at night.
3. Check your ABC’s (air pressure, brakes, and chains) before heading out!
4. Know the rules of the road. Obey stop signs and lights, use hand signals when turning, yield to pedestrians, ride with the flow of traffic, and look both ways before crossing the street!

Even though May is almost over, bike safety never stops, so always keep these safety tips in mind wherever your bike takes you.

Parents, please make sure your kiddos are well-equipped with the safety knowledge they need before riding off!

We all know that Texas storms can pop up out of nowhere, so it’s always important to be weather aware while you’re swimming.

When thunder roars, go indoors! It’s dangerous in the water during bad weather, so if a storm blows through, hop out, dry off, and spend time indoors until the weather clears up.
