Building a solid foundation…that’s what the Coppell ISD Education Foundation is all about.

The Coppell ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to generating and distributing resources to the CISD to provide funding for new innovative programs. Although the Foundation operates independently from Coppell ISD, the Foundation contributes critical financial and material support to our Coppell schools. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation chartered in June

2000 to provide financial support in addition to that which is provided by the Coppell ISD operating budget.

Teachers, counselors, librarians, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria staff: the folks who show up for thousands of Coppell ISD kids every day, usually before the sun's up.

The Coppell ISD Education Foundation exists to say thank you in ways that actually help: classroom grants, welcome gifts for brand-new teachers, and recognition for the ones who've given decades to this district.

Our back-to-school newsletter just landed, and here's what our community pulled off in August:
• Every Coppell ISD educator started the year together at Convocation, with CEF-sponsored keynote speaker Dr. Joe Sanfelippo
• 23 Zero Year teachers each opened an envelope with $200 inside for their very first classroom
• More than 1,000 teachers are wearing the new CEF shirt around town
• 16 Coppell ISD teachers are riding in the CEF Homecoming Parade on September 23
• And North Texas Giving Day is September 17 — we're going from 55 donors to 110

Last year, Coppell ISD neighbors funded 45 of these moments across 12 campuses — $107,374 straight into classrooms.

We call it Zero Year: a teacher standing in front of their own class for the very first time.

Every one of them in Coppell ISD received a $200 Amazon gift card from CEF this August to spend however needed on their room. It might go toward bulletin board letters, lab supplies, headphones, or snacks for the kid who forgot lunch. These are just a few of the hundred small things a first-year teacher would otherwise cover out of a first-year paycheck.

There is no application and no strings attached — just our community's way of saying we are glad you're here at CISD!
