These pictures come to us from Thelma Burns, former Montague resident. Bob Blaschke, of Carthage, was instrumental in making the connection. Much thanks to both Thelma and Bob! According to Bob, more pictures are on the way! Can't wait!

Two EXCELLENT sites for historical/genealogical research of the Montague/Tug Hill/Lewis County area are the Northern New York Historical Newspapers: http://news.nnyln.org/ and also this link, with the silly name of "Old Fulton NY Post Card
s": http://fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html both of these sites are fully searchable newspaper databases...meaning, you type in names, and you get results! Between the two of these sites, there are over 12 MILLION newspaper pages available! Go find those lost relatives today!

Northern New York Historical Newspapers are provided by the Northern New York Library Network to enhance access to the region's local history. The online collection currently consists of more than 2,312,000 pages from fifty-three newspapers.
