I honestly didn’t think this little fella was going to make it through the night. But we did so now I’m hoping we can get into VCA for X-rays after someone found him hit along the side of the road.

Wildlife update:
-Black Betty the Snapper was feeling much better and started getting very restless so back into the wild she roamed
-Pam the Painted Turtle still has a ways to go in her recovery but doing well
-Gil the Gull’s head injury is getting a little better each day and his eye looks a bit better today than when I took this pic. I can actually see his pupil again. However it’s still not clear yet whether he will regain vision in that eye and be able to be released

We are still going through a lot of minnows, tadpoles, and crawfish so if anyone is able to collect them I would happily take them!

Thank you Liana Mahoney for the tadpoles and minnows!

Friends I need your help! I desperately need more minnows, tadpoles, and crawfish. Not only do I have the turtles who eat them but now I have a Seagull recovering from a head collision who goes through a lot of then as well. If you are able to catch any of those for me I would be so appreciative and can come pick them up.

We have some temporary visitors
Cornpop was our rabbit who went to live at the Lewis County Boces Veterinary Program but comes home during the summer. This year we have his bestie joining him too…a silly looking GP the students named “Joe Dirt”

Fiona the very old, geriatric (by old I mean 3.5-4yrs😔) Opossum also came in and will be kept as comfortable as possible for her remaining days. She refused to ever accept the wild- her siblings were all released but every time they tried with her she just napped outside until they let her back in. So because of that she is extremely sweet and deserves nothing but the best for her remaining time here.

I would be so grateful if anyone can help me out.
