My little intake from yesterday is still fighting. He’s currently at VCA North Country in Watertown where he’s receiving fluids, pain meds, antibiotics, and a few other medications. If he pulls through another night he will be coming back here in the morning.

I do as much as I can at home but sometimes it’s not enough in which case I’m so thankful for this clinic. Their wildlife care runs off donations so if anyone would like to put something towards his care along with many others I know staff would be extremely grateful. ❤️

Got a call from one of the local DEC officers today about this little boy and a friend/fellow Rehabber helped me get started on his care. He’s in very bad shape, covered in maggots, mange, and I’m just hoping we didn’t get him in too late.

Stop on by and help support a good cause! Everything except for the veggies is for sale by donation (those are $4/pack) and all proceeds I make will go to restock on supplies/food/meds for all the wildlife that come into my care.

This Friday+Saturday are the Copenhagen Village Yard Sales. Stop by 3002 Mechanic St…everything sold will be going towards the wildlife and stocking up on supplies/meds. 🙂

Got a call from the Lowville Sheriff Dept last night to see if I could take a baby owl. This is a fledgling Barred Owl (I know they don’t look big enough to be out of nest) so Momma was probably around but the finder said it wouldn’t get out of the road and already had it back at their place with them. As much as I would have loved to raise this insanely adorable baby it will be going to a Rehabber with the proper additional license and experience needed for them. 😊

Unfortunately I think my Opossum babies endured to much trauma when Momma was hit and all have passed away. I also got a call for another Painted Turtle which was medicated, patched up, and sent to stay with another Rehabber while it recovers. Apparently this is my year as the turtle Rehabber bc I’ve gotten several calls for them already! 🤣

Not only did we welcome a new foster dog yesterday but the day also ended with a huge pile of Joeys! There are 13 that are doing fantastic but originally Momma had 15…which is crazy and I don’t understand how that many survived this far as Momma has 13 ni***es and the babies latch on and don’t let go until they are big enough to venture out of the pouch. 😳

Some of last year’s releases. The raccoon was raised+released by Lake Roads Wildlife Rehab and my beloved Turk is somewhere in this big group. 😊
