Ottawa County's Residential Field Appraiser, Bill Ramsey, will be working in the City of Coopersville during the month of May. It is an exterior only visit and a door hanger will be left on your front door if you are not home. Postcards were mailed to the addresses that will receive a visit.

Beginning the Week of May 11th through June 30th, Plummer’s Environmental will begin the annual preventative maintenance cleaning of the City’s Sanitary lines. The sanitary sewer lines highlighted in green on the attached map are selected areas to be cleaned.
It is possible you may hear “gurgling” noises within your drains, and you may encounter brief disruptions. We encourage all affected users to keep the toilet lids closed and sump area drains covered during this preventative maintenance cleaning. Ottawa County Road Project:
WHEN: Beginning Week of May 4, 2026
WHERE: 56th Ave., Cleveland St. to Wilson St., Polkton Twp.

WHY: Road Resurfacing

BACKGROUND: Beginning the week of May 4, 2026, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission are scheduled to begin work on a resurfacing project on 56th Ave. between Cleveland St. and Wilson St. in Polkton Twp.

Work is expected to last through late May 2026, however all work is weather-dependent, and completion dates are subject to change.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: Traffic will be maintained using temporary lane closures under flag control during work hours. Be prepared for possible delays when traveling through this area while work is taking place.

The City of Coopersville is now accepting applications for two (2) Seasonal / Part-Time Laborer(s) for the City of Coopersville’s Department of Public Works (DPW).

These Seasonal / Part-Time positions will assist in Forestry, Lawn Care, Irrigation, Painting, Park Maintenance, Weeding, Power Washing, Janitorial Duties, and various General Labor duties.
This is a Seasonal Part-Time position, (June, July, August, September) working 30 hours per week, without benefits. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour. Applicants must have a valid Michigan Driver's License and be over the age of 18 at the time of hire.

The 64th booster pump is back up and running. Thanks for everybody's understanding and cooperation!

🚧 PUBLIC NOTICE: TEMPORARY REDUCTION IN WATER PRESSURE 🚧
The City will be performing necessary repairs to the 64th Avenue Booster Station, which will result in reduced water pressure for businesses and residences located west of 64th Avenue.
🕓 Start Time: 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April, 21st
⏱ Duration: Early morning hours (anticipated)
Customers in the affected area are encouraged to limit water usage during this time and plan accordingly to help minimize impacts on the system.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we complete these important system improvements. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
