We in the Treasurer's Office want all Otsego County residents to have the below information:
Yesterday, the Governor announced that the federally funded and state administered Homeowners Assistance Fund was beginning an outreach campaign to let New Yorkers know that $539 million in federal assistance from the American Rescue Plan will soon be available to help homeowners behind in mortgage payments, property tax payments and certain utilities can apply for assistance. The application portal is scheduled to open January 3, 2022, and individuals that are eligible must apply for the funds directly. The application website is: https://www.nyhomeownerfund.org/
