Just a Reminder: The Public Works Department will be flushing fire hydrants and exercising water valves throughout the entire Borough next week - Starting in the Northeast corner and ending in the Southwest corner.
- This project will last less than 4 days.
- There will be no interruption to your water service for these days. - The water will remain safe and drinkable.

A few things to remember:
- If the tap water shows any sediment, bubbles, or discoloration. Run cold water for a few minutes allowing new water to work its way into your pipes. Cloudiness does not affect the water quality. It is still safe.
- If you notice them flushing the hydrants in your area, you may wish to refrain from washing clothing while flushing. This will avoid any potential discoloring in your laundry. If by chance you see this happen, do not dry the clothing.
- If your water pressure or volume seems low after flushing, check your faucet and washer screens for any trapped sediment (this can happen from changes in pressure).
- When a hydrant is opened, there will always be temporary discolored water containing fine sediment particles. There is no health hazard associated with discolored water.
- This is a yearly, routine project. A Call-All will occur Friday night as a reminder. If you did not receive the call, please contact the office to be added to the contact list.
Thanks.

Just a friendly reminder: Any Soliciting / Peddling / Door-to-Door Sales MUST have a permit within the town limits (issued by the Police) and show the permit.
Please contact the non-emergency number to report any solicitors in the Borough of Coopersburg without a permit - 610-437-5252. Even if the person is "nice" or "friendly", it does not make it acceptable within the borough limits.
The ONLY current soliciting permit is for Trinity Solar. Anyone else does not have a current permit.

There are some exceptions - religious and political canvassing, which is protected by the 1st amendment.
Thanks.

Build and learn about the benefits of rain barrels at Penn State Extension workshop:
Anyone interested in learning about the benefits of rain barrels on their property can construct their own at an upcoming Penn State Extension workshop on July 1, 2026 from 6 - 7p at Southern Lehigh Public Library: 3200 Preston Lane, Center Valley Pa 18034

Hosted by the Coopersburg Garden Club, and led by Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards, this event offers participants the opportunity not only to learn about the advantages of rain barrels but also to construct their own. Whether one is keen on conserving water, controlling stormwater, or nurturing their lawn and garden, a rain barrel can make a significant difference, organizers noted.

During the workshop, you will construct your own rain barrel and delve into topics such as stormwater management, best practices for homeowners, the anatomy of a rain barrel, maintenance tips, and how to properly connect it to your downspout.
Please note that space is limited, so preregistration is required:
