The City of Coon Rapids uses Facebook as a mechanism for disseminating public information and two-way communication with the public. We encourage individuals to submit questions, comments, concerns, and recommendations to us via our various social media sites; however, these sites are moderated online discussions and will be monitored. The City rese

rves the right, at our sole discretion, to change or modify any City posts and add or delete City or public comments, posts, photos or videos at any time, including those that:
• Do not relate to the particular posting.
• Contain vulgar or obscene language as well as sexual content.
• Are prejudiced, hurtful, harassing or threatening remarks made
toward any person or entity, including any ethnic, racial or
religious group.
• Are repeated postings relating to the same content.
• Commercial promotions or spam, including links to other sites.
• Promote illegal activity.
• Violate the legal ownership interest of another party, including
copyrights and trademarks. The City of Coon Rapids shall also delete, at its discretion, recommendations, visitor posts, reviews and other similar content category areas on Facebook after sixty days. Any information submitted to the City’s social media sites are public records subject to disclosure pursuant to Chapter 13 Minnesota Government Data Practices Act. SAVE stations were installed this spring at Sand Creek Athletic Complex and Riverwind Park thanks to the generous donations of several community groups.

Each station contains a life-saving Automated External Defibrillator (AED) that is available to the public in an emergency.

The third concert of the summer at the C**n Rapids Dam is TONIGHT (Thursday, June 18). Pirates, Guitars and Beachfront Bars performs at 7 p.m. Parking and admission are FREE!

Concessions are available for purchase from 5:30-7 p.m. from the C**n Rapids North Star Lions Club and Boy Scout Troop #524.

The Summer Concert Series is organized by the C**n Rapids Arts Commission with funding from the C**n Rapids Community Strength Foundation.

UPDATE AT 1PM: Despite some rain, the Farmers Market is ON! Check out the long list of vendors on opening day!

The C**n Rapids Farmers Market opens for the season TODAY, Wednesday, June 17. Stop by the welcome booth for a free reusable tote bag while supplies last!

The market runs every Wednesday (except July 1) from 3-6 p.m. through Oct. 7 in the parking lot of the C**n Rapids Ice Center, 11000 Crooked Lake Blvd. Find fresh vegetables, berries, flowers, honeys, jams, breads and more from vendors with the Anoka County Growers Association.

Cottage bakers, artists and crafters are being sought to enhance the Farmers Market and add variety. These 14 vendors are scheduled to be at the market on Wednesday, June 17:

If you're looking for a FREE activity for your kids this summer, check out the City's Rec on the Spot program.

The staffed, mobile recreation unit makes stops at various City parks several times a week between June 15 and Aug. 13 to engage youth and teens between ages 5-14 in fun activities. No registration required!

Get those entries in for the annual 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 2 at 6 p.m. It starts near Anoka-Ramsey Community College and winds through the neighborhood. Lineup begins at 4 p.m. and there is a $75 entry fee (visiting royalty floats and bands are exempt).
