We are attempting to locate a runaway juvenile:
Arissa Phelan-Prospt, 16 years of age. She was last seen around 1:00 PM in the 400 block of W. Elm St. in Coolidge, AZ wearing the same clothing as pictured.

Arissa ran away from home with her one-year-old son Terrance, who is also wearing the same clothing as pictured. Arissa has no means to care for her child on her own and no where to go. If you have information regarding her location, please contact the Coolidge Police Department at 520-723-5311 immediately.

Coolidge is experiencing a power outage in areas of the city south of Coolidge Avenue due to two downed power lines. Roads will be closed in the 100 Block of W. Elm St. Please avoid the area. At this time we are unsure how long the power will be out.

UPDATE @ 9:40 PM - the suspect has been pronounced deceased

Earlier-
At approximately 7:45 pm this evening a Coolidge Police officer was involved in an officer-involved shooting after responding to a call of a domestic disturbance in front of our station. When the officer arrived, the suspect displayed a machete and refused orders to drop it. There is no threat to the community and no officers are injured. The investigation has been turned over to the Pinal County Sheriffโ€™s Office. Please avoid the area.

We are profoundly saddened by the tragic loss of two AZDPS Ranger crew members who lost their lives in a helicopter accident during a response to an active shooter situation in Flagstaff last evening. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters from the Arizona Department of Public Safety during this challenging time and extend our condolences and prayers to those affected by this tragedy.
