Cookson Volunteer Fire Department is proud to serve the entire Cookson Oklahoma area. We also provide aid to the Chicken Creek and Keys areas as well when needed. We are ready to handle any type of fire emergency, as well as other emergency situations. Our first-responders are professionally trained to deal with fires, rescues, motor vehicle incidents, extrication, and more.

Big start to September! Just before we started our CPR class we were called to an outside fire. And after we finished our CPR class we were paged to a vehicle fire and with in a few minutes after that a four wheeler vs car. So we divided forces got the fire put out and assisted EMS and set up a landing zone. Good job to our volunteers!

On Saturday during the monthly Cookson Volunteer Fire Department breakfast, Lisa Hall District 3 Tribal Councilor presented a check to the department to help purchase CPR training equipment.

Wado to Ryan Bigger, a Cookson volunteer firefighter, who recently became certified as a CPR instructor and is helping train others in these lifesaving skills. This equipment and training will help prepare first responders and community members to act quickly when every second counts, helping save lives. Osda!
