Feel good story… our Rescue Squad’s Swift Water and Rope Team successfully rescued a 4 day old calf that fell from a bluff and washed under an overhang on Cane Creek. Special thanks to Eddy Haynes, George Johnson IV, Mike Herrick Jr., Josh Willis, Cliff Altobelli (PCSO) and everyone involved!

Our EMS is taking prehospital critical care treatment to the next level by providing blood and plasma to severely injured or sick patients. The new partnership with Blood Assurance was launched today. Special thanks to them and Medical Director Dr. Sullivan Smith for making this happen! Putnam EMS is only one of three services in the state offering the life saving treatment!

Congratulations to The Recovery Room on its grand opening!! They offer float therapy in private rooms, infrared sauna with red light, vertical cold plunge, and contrast therapy, all under one roof. The new business is located at 442 W Main St in Algood and you can reach them at (931) 239-7240.

Cookeville Carnival, June 5-20th, nightly at 6pm - 10pm and 11pm on weekends, Old Fairgrounds on South Walnut Ave. Free Parking and Admission. Armbands to ride all the rides for the full 4 or 5 hours are $25. This event is put on by the Putnam County Fair Board.
