Nancy is the best!

Today, on , we’re celebrating one of our many extraordinary SHIP volunteers: Nancy Parker of Nashville, TN.

Since 2013, Nancy has been a steady, compassionate guide for thousands of Medicare beneficiaries. With over 6,500 volunteer hours and 7,300 counseling sessions, she has helped save clients more than $2.2 million in prescription drug costs, all while mentoring new volunteers and supporting her community through every challenge.

Even during personal hardships, Nancy’s commitment never slowed. Her dedication reminds us that no one has to navigate Medicare alone. Thank you, Nancy, for all you do!

A has been issued on behalf of the Chattanooga Police Department for 83-year-old Betty Miller.

Betty was last seen on Monday leaving her home in Chattanooga and is believed to be traveling in a 2008 Red Chevy Cobalt with TN tag PD69088.

Betty is 5’4” tall, 165 lbs., with gray hair and brown eyes. She has a medical condition that may impair her ability to return safely without assistance.

If someone says they’re from the government and tells you to move your money or put it in a federal locker, that’s an imposter scam. No one from the government will ever tell you that your money isn’t safe and you must move it to “protect it.” Only a scammer will. ejcc.acl.gov/imposters

Federal agencies will never EVER call, text, or email to demand personal or financial information, ask for money, or tell you to move money to “protect it.” If this happens to you, report it.
