Students-Don’t be a blank spot in the yearbook! School picture day is on Monday, September 21st. School portraits will be taken by BPI Photography and are a great way to preserve your child’s school memories. These pictures also serve as a school fundraiser, so please remember to participate.

Pre-Orders are available through picture day, and those packages will deliver back to the school for your child to bring home. You CAN still order pictures after picture day all-year long, but post-picture day orders ship directly home, so there will be a residential shipping charge. BPI guarantees 100% satisfaction. If you are unsatisfied, upon return of your original package, you may receive a full refund. You may also have your student retake their picture on makeup day and BPI will reorder that package for you.

Congratulations to our 1st Grade teacher, Ms. Antoinette Neil for being a chosen as one of three finalists for Rockdale County Teacher of the Year! Today, she was surprised by our Superintendent, Dr. Stephanie Johnson, members of the School Board, cabinet members, her 1st grade team, and her classroom students with the announcement. Congratulations to Ms. Neil! We at Shoal Creek are so proud of you!

Today, our 5th grade mathematicians in Mr. Booker’s class explored the Volume Zoo! 🦒🐘
Students traveled through zoo-themed exhibits where they:

✅ Counted unit cubes
✅ Built rectangular prisms
✅ Calculated volume using formulas
✅ Solved real-world math challenges
✅ Explained their mathematical thinking

The Volume Zoo helped students see that volume is more than a formula. It is the amount of space an object occupies! We loved seeing students collaborate, problem-solve, and make connections through hands-on learning.

What an AMAZING time with our Sharks! 💙🩵 Our PBIS assemblies were filled with great energy, excitement, and student engagement as we reinforced what it means to make positive choices and demonstrate our schoolwide expectations each and every day.

Our students were engaged, enthusiastic, and ready to show what it means to be a Shoal Creek Shark! 🌊🦈

✅3rd and 4th grade students increased End of Grade (EOG) performance by 11 percentage points

✅5th grade students increased End of Grade (EOG) performance by 8 percentage points
