Horry County Historic Preservation Commission The Commission's purpose is to recognize and protect historic resources in Horry County. The Historic Preservation page is managed by the Commission itself.

Horry County Historic Preservation Commission is a 10 member quasi judicial board that oversees the County's efforts to survey, recognize and protect its historic resources. We meet approximately 9-10 months per year plus workshops and special meetings.
