We are so grateful for all of our families that made this happen! Thank you all for your commitment and support to our school and PTO!

Our playgrounds just got some AMAZING new additions and it’s all thanks to YOU!

Because of the incredible support and hard work of our Little Cat families during fundraising, we were able to purchase new playground equipment for our students to enjoy, including:

🌀 Spinner
🔄 Spinning Barrel
🎯 Krazy Kup
🏐 Tetherball
🏐 Volleyball Set

These aren’t just pieces of playground equipment they are opportunities for our students to play, move, laugh, explore, and make memories with their friends. ❤️

Welcome back Mrs. Lakey! We are so excited to have you!

🎉 Please join us in welcoming our new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Tracy Lakey! 🎉

We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Tracy Lakey back to the WCE family as our new Assistant Principal!

Mrs. Lakey is beginning her 25th year in public education and is excited to serve the students, families, and staff of Woodrow Cummins Elementary in this new role. She is passionate about helping every child succeed, supporting teachers, and building meaningful relationships that create a positive and welcoming school community.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Lakey has had the privilege of teaching 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, giving her a broad understanding of elementary education. For the past six years, she has served as an Instructional Coach, partnering with teachers to strengthen instruction, support student learning, and foster continuous growth.

Outside of school, Mrs. Lakey enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, and curling up with a good book.

Mrs. Lakey is honored to return to Woodrow Cummins Elementary and is looking forward to getting to know each student and family while working alongside our incredible staff. She can't wait to help make this school year one filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences for everyone.
