We are SO thankful for Professor Phillips and her dedication to the Central Arkansas community! She plays a huge role in our VITA program and we couldn’t do it without her. Well deserved Professor Phillips! 💙

FAB FACULTY
Help me congratulate Professor Ashley Phillips, UCA Associate Professor of Accounting, who was recognized by UCA for excellence in public service. This recognition is largely for her work with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance but includes great work she does with other organizations as well. Through VITA in partnership with United Way of Central Arkansas, Ashley impacts the lives of low income taxpayers in our community and the professional trajectory of UCA students who are the preparers in this service-learning model. This year they had an impact of over $500,000 in refunds and no preparer fees as they prepared 455 federal returns (+ the state ones too).

Also, Ashley is the first COB faculty to win a university level excellence award (we think). Congratulations Ashley!!
