At 11:35 hours this afternoon volunteers and career staff of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched to the 2500 block of Industry Lane in West Norriton Township to assist the Jefferson Fire Company on a working building fire.

Ladder and Chief 43 with a crew of 5 responded as a Rapid Intervention Team as part of the 3rd alarm assignment. Upon the Ladder's arrival the crew staged on the Alpha side and setup for RIT duties.

As fire continued to extend within the original and exposure buildings, Ladder 43 was transitioned from RIT duties and placed into service as an additional truck company. Ladder 43 repositioned to the Alpha/Delta corner of the complex and placed their master stream in service. The crew would also be tasked with opening up portions of soffit from the main and roof area to expose fire extension and ensure extinguishment.

The fire would grow to 4 alarms with mutliple mutial aid companies from multiple counties responding in to assist. Ladder 43 operated for several hours before being relieved by additional crews who would be operating well into the evening hours. 43 personnel were clear from the scene just before 18:00 hours.

An early start to this Father's Day weekend as the volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched at 09:47 hours this morning to the 800 Block of Brook Road at the L&S Demo complex for the report of a vehicle fire.

Squad 43 responded and were advised of a trailer in the complex on fire possibly involving batteries. With this report, Deputy 43 requested Harmonville Fire Company No.1 to be dispatched to assist. Squad 43 arrived as the first due engine reporting heavy smoke visible from a large trailer and confirmed the contents inside to be well involved.

Squad 43 hard jacked 400 feet of supply line to a yard hydrant as Sq**rt 43 arrived and was put in position for master stream operations. Personnel from 43 and 44 placed the Sq**rt boom and a blitz fire in service for over and hour and a half to extinguish all visible fire. Extensive overhaul of the trailer contents was then completed using heavy construction equipment to ensure final extinguishment.

Command placed the fire under control within the hour and all units were clear and available just before noon. Many thanks to Station 44 as always for their assistance and the tremendous teamwork on scene!

Yesterday evening the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched at 19:19 hours to the 200 block of Lee Drive for the report of a vehicle on fire. Mutliple calls were received reporting smoke from a vehicle to the rear of the building.

Chief 43 arrived within minutes and reported the engine compartment of a sedan we'll involved with exposure to the building. Due to the conditions and growing fire command requested the incident be upgraded to a building fire bringing in additional mutial aid resources.

Squad 43 with a crew of 4 arrived and the first due engine company and immediately placed the front bumper 1¾" handline in service to quickly knock down all visible fire while simultaneously securing a positive water supply to a nearby hydrant. Additional crews from Harmonville Fire Company and the Norristown Fire Department then assisted in opening up the exterior siding and checking interior apartments to confirm no further fire extension.

Command placed the incident under control within 20 minutes. Crews remained on scene to ventilate the building until released. All units were clear just after 20:00 hours. Many thanks as always to all of our regional mutual aid partners for their assistance!
