We are deeply saddened to hear the passing of Jack Fields. Our thoughts are with the Spring Mill Fire Company No.1, Whitemarsh Township and Jack’s family and friends. Rest in Peace, Jack.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of John “Jack” Fields, a 38-year life member of the Spring Mill Fire Company.

Jack dedicated nearly four decades of his life to serving our organization and our community. Beginning as a Junior Firefighter, he rose through the ranks with commitment and pride, ultimately serving as Deputy Chief and a valued member of our Board of Directors. Beyond the firehouse, Jack’s service to the community continued through Whitemarsh Township Public Works, where he began his career as a mechanic and worked his way up to become the Director of Public Works. His impact on this community extends far beyond what words can fully capture.

Jack was taken from us far too soon. He will be remembered for his dedication, his work ethic, and his unwavering commitment to helping others. Most importantly, he will be missed by all who had the privilege to serve alongside him and call him a friend.

Services will be held privately.

In honor of Jack’s lifelong dedication to public service, a memorial scholarship has been established. We encourage those who wish to recognize his legacy to consider contributing:

Please keep Jack’s family, friends, and our entire fire company in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Jack. Thank you for your service. 🚒
