It’s one of the more dangerous situations we encounter. His specialized real-world scenarios brought a fresh take on the subject for our medics.

Today, new hire firefighters attended our InDoc class to be trained and credentialed on advanced skills. It helps support a seamless transition of care when handling patients in the field. It’s also an intro to MCHD and how our system works. Welcome to Montgomery County!

Tropical Weather Update: 8/31/2026 @ 2 P.M.

The low pressure system we have been monitoring for several days has become a little more organized and is now Tropical Depression Five and is expected to become Tropical Storm Edouard later this evening.

The forecast track does put this system over or near Montgomery County overnight tomorrow and into Wednesday.

Our primary concern at this time is the potential for excessive rainfall. However, current forecast from the National Weather Service estimates 3-6 inches of rain with this system with some areas receiving more or less based on exact track and other conditions.

A flood watch is in effect through Wednesday morning for Montgomery County. Please stay weather aware and be mindful of roadways that may have water over them. Turn around don't drown!
