Response to Eric: A better analogy would be King Herod vs Christians of Judea.
The bylaws Herod wanted passed gave him the authority to nominate (choose) all of the important Committee Chairmen including the Steering Committee. Have control over the Resolutions presented before the body of the CEC.
So, Herod and his minority faction wanted the RULES for thee (and his minority faction) but not for the body of the CEC. (elected Precinct Chairs who were the majority of the body)
Also, important to note the primaries are for the purpose of choosing the best and most conservative candidates who can win in the General Election.
Of course there will be different opinions on which candidates best represent the party and the RPT platform.
The Freedom Caucus group raised ALL of the funds to support all of the Republican candidates in the General Election through a Golf Tournament and a Gala. Herod didn’t help in any way.
The GOTV was strategic. The GOP App allowed us to focus on the categories of Republican voters. Strong Republicans (3 Rs) who vote in every election, in between voters (2Rs) who voted in 2 of the last primaries and weak Republicans who vote once in a blue moon.
Apparently you are a 3R so you weren’t a target for the GOTV efforts.
We didn’t only send out a “mailer” we knocked on doors and left election information regarding our Republican candidate for the General Election. I personally filled over thousand door hangers with information on our candidates.
The election code, the Republican Party Platform and the bylaws are not created and enforced by the “Pharisees” but are created to ensure election integrity, conservative and Constitutional principles.
