On June 3, 2026, at approximately 4:45 p.m, K-9 Deputies P. Mollaun and J. Lunsford responded to the area of Williams Road and Snyder Road on a report of an unconscious driver. Upon arrival, deputies identified the driver and determined the individual had an active arrest warrant through Franklin County. K-9 Deputy J. Lunsford deployed his K-9 partner, K-9 Ice, to conduct an exterior free-air sniff of the vehicle. K-9 Ice gave a positive indication to the odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine and associated drug paraphernalia. The driver was taken into custody on the active warrant and faces additional charges related to the narcotics investigation and driving while suspended.

We would like to thank Hickory Creek for the annual invite for their Hero’s Day. Every year they honor Fayette County First Responders by providing lunch and allowing us to interact with their residents. They also put on a tug of war competition between local agencies. Once again the Sheriff’s Office was victorious.

We would also like to thank Kroger for the delicious Meat and Cheese tray they provided our staff today. It is an honor to work in a County that supports Law Enforcement and all First Responders like ours does.
