2025, is GENERAL/MUNICIPAL ELECTION DAY In PENNSYLVANIA!

General elections are always held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
In a general election, Pennsylvanians vote for federal, state, and local officials.

In odd-numbered years, the November general election is also called a municipal election because there are no federal or state office races on the ballot.

Races on Nov 4, 2025 include:
* County and local officials (in odd-numbered years), and
* Judges and magisterial district judges (in odd-numbered years).

IMPORTANT DATES:

Nov. 4, 2025-Election Day - Go to the polls!

Nov. 4, 2025-Last day for county election office to receive completed mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M.)

Nov. 12, 2025-Last day for county election office to receive completed military and overseas absentee ballots (submitted for delivery no later than 11:59 P.M. on November 3)

We recognize the challenges Fayette County faces from economic decline and limited job opportunities to infrastructure needs and the ongoing opioid crisis. But we also see tremendous potential. PETITION FOR MUNICIPAL CONSOLIDATION

To Merge Connellsville City, Connellsville Township, South Connellsville Borough, Dunbar Township, and Bullskin Township into One Unified City.

Reasons for Consolidation
1. Economic Development
o A larger, unified city will attract new businesses, jobs, and investments.
o Consolidation increases our regional competitiveness in Pennsylvania.
2. Government Efficiency
o Eliminating redundant municipal governments reduces administrative costs.
o Shared services such as police, fire, EMS, and public works can be better coordinated.
3. Infrastructure & Services
o Roads, utilities, and community facilities can be planned and maintained under one city government.
o Consolidation ensures equal access to quality services across the entire area.
4. Stronger Community Identity
o Residents of Connellsville City, Connellsville Township, South Connellsville Borough, Dunbar Township, and Bullskin Township share common history, culture, and economic interests.
