ONE INCREDIBLE DAY OF GIVING.

Today, the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York an extraordinary effort to distribute more than 575,000 meals across its 23-county service area in the largest one-day Thanksgiving food distribution in New York State!

TOUCH, along with the Rockland Community Against Hunger coalition, is proud to help coordinate the Rockland County distribution site on November 21 at Clover Stadium, bringing our community together to help ensure families can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

We’re honored to be part of this incredible regional effort, working alongside our partners and volunteers to turn compassion into action and put food on the table for our neighbors at holiday time. 🍂

Today the TOUCH team was excited to attend the Regional Food Bank’s inaugural Network Partner conference, held at the Culinary Institute of America campus in Hyde Park.

This full-day conference brought together agency partner programs and community leaders from across the Regional Food Bank’s entire service area, 23 counties extending from the Canada border to Rockland County.

The event provided opportunities to learn from the Food Bank about their services, share best practices, explore innovative solutions, and strengthen the partnerships that help us better serve our communities amidst the changing face of food insecurity.

Innovation in action. Compassion in action. Community in action.

Every week, our Food Recovery team rescues surplus food from local retailers and delivers it directly to our partner pantries, including Community Food Pantry, helping ensure good food reaches the neighbors who need it most.

Thanks to our incredible Rockland Community Against Hunger coalition, we rescue and redistribute more than 1.4 million pounds of food every year right here in Rockland County!

Rain or shine, in good times and bad ones, our incredible coalition of nonprofit partners, food donors, volunteers, and community supporters shows up week after week to fight hunger and reduce food waste.

This is what coordinated community action looks like. Together, we’re turning surplus into sustenance and making sure our neighbors have access to the food they need.

Because when a community comes together, we can make a real difference. ❤️

It was a beautiful reunion day at TOUCH! So glad to welcome back Rob Maher, former TOUCH Executive Director, and Dio Dominguez, former Deputy Director, for a visit.

Both Rob and Dio provided more than two decades of service to TOUCH and the community we serve. Rob is pictured here with Dio and Julian as well as with Inin Vital, TOUCH’s longest serving case manager (since 1998).

🌎 Food Day: Food Is More Than Nourishment. It’s a Human Right.

Everyone deserves access to nutritious food that supports a healthy, thriving life. Yet too many of our neighbors face food insecurity while perfectly good food goes to waste.

At TOUCH and Rockland Community Against Hunger, we’re turning surplus into sustenance and excess into access through food recovery, fresh food distribution, nutrition education, and compassionate support for our community.

Because food is medicine. Food is dignity. And food brings us together.

This World Food Day, let’s work together to build a future where everyone has access to the nutritious food they need to thrive. Share our mission, support local hunger-relief efforts, and help us put compassion into action!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the Orangetown Paper Shredding & Food Drive on Saturday, October 10! 🥫❤️

Together, we collected 24 banana boxes of nonperishable food between 8 AM and noon, along with generous cash donations to help our neighbors facing food insecurity.

Every item, every dollar, and every act of kindness makes a difference. We’re so grateful to our community for showing up and putting compassion into action! 💙

When a person living with HIV takes effective treatment and achieves and maintains an undetectable viral load, they cannot sexually transmit HIV. This is the science behind U=U, a message of hope, empowerment, and progress in HIV care.

At TOUCH–Together Our Unity Can Heal, we believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, stigma-free care, accurate information, and the support they need to thrive. Through our Ryan White HIV Services, we help individuals navigate care, manage their health, and live full, healthy lives.

Undetectable is untransmittable. HIV is manageable.

Let’s spread awareness, celebrate the power of treatment, and build a community where everyone can access the care and respect they deserve.
