📍 Understanding Plans vs. Recorded Documents

Did you know that not all property plans are recorded with the Merrimack County Registry of Deeds? Here’s a quick breakdown to help clarify:

🗺️ Plot Plans & Surveys
Land Surveyors often create plot plans that define property boundaries and land use. These may be recorded with our office, but not always — so just because a plan exists doesn’t necessarily mean it’s on file.

📄 Common Plans We DO Record:
✔️ Boundary Line Agreements / Adjustments
✔️ Conservation Easements
✔️ Subdivision Plans
✔️ Lot Line Adjustmentsi

🚫 Plans We DO NOT Record:
❌ Building Blueprints
❌ Septic Design Plans

Understanding what is — and isn’t — recorded can help property owners, buyers, and real estate professionals know where to look for important information.

❓If you ever have questions about what’s on record, don’t hesitate to reach out. Images below can be found stored in office and online.
