TWO CAMPS LEFT! Looking for a fun outlet for your child? We have it covered! Get creative this summer in our fun-filled one-week Youth Clay Camps! Call staff for assistance if past the deadline (numbers below, at bottom).

Campers will explore the exciting world of ceramics through both hand-building and the pottery wheel

Students will learn fundamental techniques, create fun and functional projects, and experiment with texture, form, and colorful glazes
Our instructors guide each camper in a supportive, safe, and imaginative environment that builds confidence and creativity

By the end of the week, students will head home with their own finished clay pieces and a big sense of accomplishment

When: June 14, 2026 Time 2- 4:00 PM
Where: Clearwater Arts Center and Studios. 223 Crowell Dr. NW, Concord, NC 28025

You’ll remember Kayla from her last demonstration. She worked with wood burning on an owl that she built! This time, she will be showing us how to make Face Jugs out of clay.
Demonstration will be of a ceramic Face Jug, using natural air dry clay. Picture your traditional Face Jugs, with a twist! ✨ During this demo we will showcase skills such as hand sculpting facial features, using the score / slip method to attach facial features to a vessel, and sizing each piece for the perfect expression!
