Flood recovery efforts continue in Madison and surrounding communities, and it has truly been a team effort. Thank you to NHDOT crews, local officials, emergency responders, contractors, and community members who have worked together to restore access and keep people moving safely.
Current conditions:
๐Ÿšง NH 113 remains closed to through traffic, with a detour in place. All driveways along NH 113 remain accessible, and some sections continue to operate with alternating one-lane traffic.
๐Ÿšง NH 153 in Eaton is open to two-way traffic. Remaining shoulder repairs are scheduled for Monday.
District 3 crews will continue work tomorrow morning, and additional repairs are being planned.

Drivers should expect daytime shoulder closures and temporary ramp narrowing as NHDOT crews replace roadway lighting and conduit along Route 16 through June 17.

The work is part of a larger project to install new LED roadway lighting along Route 16 and I-95.

Paving Ahead on NH Route 12 ๐Ÿšง
Starting June 15, crews will begin resurfacing NH Route 12 from Troy to Swanzey, helping provide a smoother ride for everyone who travels this corridor.
Expect daytime one-way alternating traffic between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM during paving operations. Flaggers, message boards, uniformed officers, and other traffic control measures will be in place to help keep traffic moving safely.
Please slow down, stay alert, and remember to move over and slow down for highway workers.

Beginning June 22, Route 124 in Troy will be closed for approximately 67 days while NHDOT replaces a box culvert at Perkins Pond and reconstruct a section of roadway.
A signed detour will be in place during the closure. After the detour period, traffic will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic controlled by flaggers through project completion.

Overnight Bridge Painting on I-95 ๐ŸŒ‰
NHDOT has started a project to paint four overpass bridges on I-95 in North Hampton and Greenland.
Work will take place overnight (7:00 PM to 5:00 AM) with temporary lane closures beneath the bridges. Crews will be completing surface preparation, painting, and environmental safety measures as part of routine bridge maintenance.
This yearโ€™s work includes Post Road (Route 151) in North Hampton and Ocean Road in Greenland.
Please drive carefully through work zones and watch for crews and signage.

The public comment period for Proposed Amendment #5 to the 2025-2028 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) opens June 12 and closes June 24 at 4:00 PM.
The STIP outlines federally funded and regionally significant transportation projects planned across New Hampshire.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Spaulding Turnpike in Dover ๐Ÿšง
Routine maintenance on the All Electronic Tolling (AET) system will require alternating lane closures on the Spaulding Turnpike in Dover on Tuesday, June 16, from 6:30 AM to 3 PM.
Northbound lane closures will occur first, followed by southbound lane closures after the morning commute.
These daytime closures are necessary to safely access and maintain the overhead toll equipment.
