The Concord Rotary Club prepares and serves a meal at the Friendly Kitchen on the third Monday of every month. It's one of the many ways our members put Rotary's motto, Service Above Self, into action right here in our community.

Another great week of fellowship, service, and inspiration at Concord Rotary!

Highlights included:

🍕 Rik shared information about his community initiative, "A Piece of Pizza for Peace," promoting dialogue and community harmony through the universal appeal of pizza.

🌎 Tim and Anise from the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire spoke about fostering civil dialogue and building international understanding through leadership and cultural exchange programs.

🏅 Bob and Cady were recognized as Paul Harris Fellows for their outstanding service and commitment to Rotary's mission.

👥 Club President Dr. Shannon discussed innovative ideas for strengthening and growing our Rotary membership.

🌷 Dr. Warren shared details about Concord Rotary's participation in the City's Adopt-A-Spot program, helping beautify our community and showcase Rotary's commitment to service.

Last week, Concord Rotary was pleased to welcome Anna Brown, Executive Director, and Mike Dunbar, Director of Content, from Citizens Count

Anna and Mike shared how their nonprofit, independent, and nonpartisan organization works to provide New Hampshire residents with unbiased information on state legislation, candidate profiles, and civic issues. Their commitment to informing citizens without political influence is reflected in the fact that NH Citizens Count receives no funding from political parties, allowing them to focus solely on helping Granite Staters make informed decisions.

Their presentation was inspiring, informative, and thought-provoking, highlighting the importance of civic engagement and access to trustworthy information in today's world.

We're quickly approaching The Rotary Club of Concord’s 26th Annual Golf Tournament at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord on Thursday, August 13.

The “Nine & Dine” event includes a scramble-format tournament, dinner provided by Alan’s of Boscawen, exciting auctions and raffles, and an evening supporting the work of Rotary in Greater Concord.

Registration begins at 2:00 p.m., followed by a 3:00 p.m. shotgun start and dinner between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m.

This evening, Concord Rotary Club had the privilege of serving approximately 70 guests at The Friendly Kitchen.

A heartfelt thank you to Rotarians Rik, Ariana, and Captain Becca, along with our guest Dawn, for volunteering their time to prepare and serve a delicious meal of cheesy squash casserole, garlic bread, fresh fruit cups, and cupcakes.

Concord Rotary is proud to serve at The Friendly Kitchen every third Monday of the month. It’s one of the many ways we put Service Above Self into action and support our local community.
