🚧 🚧 Construction Alert - Oak Grove Fiber 🚧 🚧

Impacted Location: Oak Grove Road from Monument Boulevard to Ygnacio Valley High School, near the Walnut Creek city limits

Timeframe: 9/2/26 - end of year (no work on Monday, Sept. 6th)
⏰Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
with lane closures occurring between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and affecting small roadway segments at a time.

Construction has begun this week. The purpose of this project is to install fiber optic communication infrastructure on Oak Grove Road to interconnect traffic signals on Oak Grove and Treat Boulevard.

This work will provide a smoother progression of traffic on both the Oak Grove Road and Treat Boulevard corridors via interconnected and coordinated/intelligent traffic signal timing and traffic control systems resulting in improved air quality by reducing travel time, stops, and emissions.

Mt. Diablo Street, between Willow Pass Road and Salvio Street, will be closed to traffic during Music & Market to accommodate the City of Concord’s Emergency Preparedness Fair.
