Winecoff Elementary School

Winecoff Elementary School Home of the Leopards. Winecoff Elementary School is a PK-5 elementary school in the Cabarrus County School District. Winecoff with his venture. Mr. C. J. Williamson)

WES was established in 1877 by Martin Henderson Winecoff. He donated the land, cut the timber, and helped build the school so his children and those in the community would have a local school to attend. The Litaker, Goodman, and Barnhardt families all assisted Mr. The original building was 15 feet wide and 24 feet long. Students sat on plank benches under desks that were nailed to the walls. Goodm

What an amazing time we had today at our EOG Pep Rally! We are grateful for the folks at the Charlotte Hornets 🐝 and Dole Foods 🍍 for surprising or kids with a fun filled, energy packed Pep Rally! Good luck to all of our 3rd-5th grade students who will be showing how much they have learned this year by taking their EOGs over the next 10 days!

Winecoff Spirit Night - Cannon Baller's Game

Tonight is our final Winecoff Spirit Night. We will be at the Cannon Baller's Game at 5:00 pm. At this game, the team will be playing as their alternate identity that honors their Hispanic heritage, the Ajolotes de Kannapolis. Since this is Cinco de Mayo, the Cannon Ballers have a lot of fun things in store, such as a live mariachi band. Winecoff will sit together in the same section (Section 101) and be recognized in various ways throughout the game.

It is not too late! You can still by tickets. Ticket's must be purchased online through the ticket Link: https://www.gofevo.com/event/Winecoffelementary6 . The gates open and 5pm and the game starts at 6pm.

Boomer was at school this afternoon to meet our kids and we had so much fun!

Our very own Susan Frazier went live on Kiss 95.1 this morning to talk about our amazing Winecoff Vex Robotics students who are going to the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, MO in 12 days! We are so proud of their hard work and wish them the best luck in St. Louis!

Dear Winecoff Families,
Join us this coming Thursday 4/16/27 from 5-7pm for Safety Night! This night is an opportunity for you and your students to learn about water, medication, fire, gun, car seat and internet safety while earning raffle tickets to win prizes! You can sign up to get a free car/booster seat, free gun locks, or sign up to have fire alarms installed in your home.

From 6-7PM kids can go have supervised free play while adults learn important information about keeping our kids safe online.

Raffle prizes include gas cards, a Food Lion gift card, Cannon Ballers gear, free swim lesson trial, a game night basket and more! Your student can also earn a popsicle party and extra recess for the homeroom with the most attendees.

We will have What-A-Burger and Poppa Robbs food trucks on site too! We can't wait to see you there!
