Winecoff Elementary School

Winecoff Elementary School Home of the Leopards. Winecoff Elementary School is a PK-5 elementary school in the Cabarrus County School District. Winecoff with his venture. Mr. C. J. Williamson)

WES was established in 1877 by Martin Henderson Winecoff. He donated the land, cut the timber, and helped build the school so his children and those in the community would have a local school to attend. The Litaker, Goodman, and Barnhardt families all assisted Mr. The original building was 15 feet wide and 24 feet long. Students sat on plank benches under desks that were nailed to the walls. Goodm

Winecoff Team,

Did you know that our Winecoff teachers and students just made HISTORY? That’s right! Our school moved to a “C” and EXCEEDED EXPECTED GROWTH for the first time EVER! Our students and staff were able to LEVEL UP by showing up, working hard each day, and believing that EVERYONE can be college- and career-ready!

Now, as we set our sights on a “B,” we need YOUR help!

Please continue to support our students by:
Making sure your student is here every day
Encouraging your student to read every night
Reminding your student to give their best effort every day

Our students have been working hard, listening, learning, and showing what it means to be a GREAT Leopard! Our teachers choose one All-Star Student to recognize for their outstanding effort, positive attitude, and hard work throughout the week. These amazing students earned a “Lunch with Buddy” pass! Good Afternoon Winecoff Families!

We had an amazing first week! Students were learning, teachers were teaching, and Winecoff was truly a beautiful place to learn and grow!

This week, teachers chose one Rock Star student to recognize for their hard work during this first week of school! These students earned a special treat and a book from our book vending machine! Let’s give these amazing Leopards a BIG round of applause!

Summer Mobile food pantry coming to Winecoff!

Mark your calendars because we are hosting a special Summer mobile food pantry sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank!

When: Thursday 7/23/26
5pm - 6pm (or until we run out of food)
Location: Winecoff Elementary School
375 Winecoff School Rd. Concord NC 28027
Pick up will be in the back parking lot where car rider usually is.
Details: First come, first served until the food runs out!
Come get fresh eggs, meat, produce, canned goods and more!
No registration, ID or income verification required.
*Limit of 2 household pick-ups per vehicle

What an amazing time we had today at our EOG Pep Rally! We are grateful for the folks at the Charlotte Hornets 🐝 and Dole Foods 🍍 for surprising or kids with a fun filled, energy packed Pep Rally! Good luck to all of our 3rd-5th grade students who will be showing how much they have learned this year by taking their EOGs over the next 10 days!

Winecoff Spirit Night - Cannon Baller's Game

Tonight is our final Winecoff Spirit Night. We will be at the Cannon Baller's Game at 5:00 pm. At this game, the team will be playing as their alternate identity that honors their Hispanic heritage, the Ajolotes de Kannapolis. Since this is Cinco de Mayo, the Cannon Ballers have a lot of fun things in store, such as a live mariachi band. Winecoff will sit together in the same section (Section 101) and be recognized in various ways throughout the game.

It is not too late! You can still by tickets. Ticket's must be purchased online through the ticket Link: https://www.gofevo.com/event/Winecoffelementary6 . The gates open and 5pm and the game starts at 6pm.

Boomer was at school this afternoon to meet our kids and we had so much fun!

We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow night!
