There’s nothing like it: the open road, the hum of the engine, and that feeling of freedom you only get on two wheels.

Whether your motorcycle is your daily commute, your weekend escape, or your connection to a wider riding community, today is a reminder of why riders love the ride.

But with that freedom comes responsibility.

Every ride is a shared road. Your safety matters — and so does everyone else’s. Wear your gear, stay alert, ride defensively, and make sure every trip ends the same way it started: safely.

Celebrate the ride. Respect the road. 🏍️ 🛣️ 🪖

Graduations. End of school year. Summer nights.

If you choose to drink or use w**d and other drugs, you put yourself and others at risk if you get behind the wheel.

A DUI isn’t just about alcohol. You can get a DUI for driving high or being impaired by ma*****na or other drugs — which affects your reaction time, coordination, and judgment behind the wheel. Bottom line: If you’re impaired, you can be charged.

If you feel different, you drive different.

Before you drive, ask yourself: Am I focused? Alert? Safe to drive? If not, don’t risk your future or someone else’s life.

Get a ride. Call a friend. Pass the keys. 🚘📱🔑

Temperatures are climbing across New Hampshire, and it only takes minutes for a parked vehicle to become dangerously hot. Before you walk away, remember: Stop. Look. Lock. Never leave a child (or a pet) unattended in a vehicle, even for a moment, and always check the back seat before locking your doors. ☀️🌡️

Good Monday morning NH...hope you all had a great weekend. More comfortable today with sunshine and highs mostly between 75-80°. Temps, humidity and storm chances all increase together through the week...the latest here: www.wmur.com and on Daybreak until 7am. Enjoy the sunshine! --Kevin

A tragic crash in North Haverhill is a sobering reminder that safety on our roads is a shared responsibility.

As more cyclists head out this summer, drivers should slow down, stay alert and give riders plenty of space. Cyclists should remain visible, predictable and follow traffic laws. Together, we can help prevent tragedies and keep New Hampshire roads safe for everyone.

Read the story and hear from cyclists and safety advocates about the importance of sharing the road. 🚴‍♂️

Concert season is back in New Hampshire, and the first big show of the season at BankNH Pavilion is almost here. 🎶

If you are heading to see Luke Bryan (or any performer), make sure your ride home is part of the plan. “Rain Is a Good Thing,” but impaired driving and wrong-way crashes are not.

Before the music starts, choose a sober driver, call a rideshare or make plans to stay nearby. Stay alert, stay right and pay attention behind the wheel, especially late at night when visibility is lower.

A great night should end with everyone getting home safely.

Hampstead Police DUI Grant Patrol This Weekend

The Hampstead Police Department will be conducting enhanced DUI enforcement patrols this weekend as part of the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety grant program. Our officers will be out in full force looking for impaired drivers to help keep our roads safe.

Drive sober. It’s not worth the risk. Impaired driving can result in serious injury, death, arrest, license suspension, and thousands of dollars in fines. If you plan to drink, designate a sober driver or use a rideshare.

We appreciate everyone who chooses to drive responsibly. Stay safe this weekend, Hampstead.

Proms, graduations and late-night celebrations are happening across New Hampshire right now.

For teen drivers, this season should be about memories, not choices they’ll regret. Parents, talk with your teens before they head out. Make sure they have a plan for where they are going, who they are with and how they are getting home.

Teen drivers: buckle up, put the phone away, stick to the speed limit and never get in the car with someone who has been drinking or using drugs.

One unsafe decision can change a life in an instant. Help make sure this season ends with smiles, photos and safe rides home.

What plans do you have in place to help keep your teen safe on the road this prom and graduation season? 🎓🚗

Break out the neon, tease up the hair and get ready for Fireworks Friday at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

If you are heading to see the New Hampshire Fisher Cats take on the Fightin Phils , enjoy the throwback tunes, fireworks and baseball vibes, but when it is time to head home, do not stop believin’ in safe rides.

If alcohol is part of your night, make a plan before you go. Choose a sober driver, call a rideshare or stay over with friends. Buckle up every trip, no matter how short the drive, and stick to the speed limit on the way home.

Because while the fireworks should make a bang, your drive home should not.
