Elder abuse can take many forms, not just physical abuse, but also neglect, emotional abuse and financial exploitation.

POOL UPDATE! 🏊🥽 Due to increased demand, Camp T.N. Spencer Pool is implementing new weekend reservation time blocks. The change takes effect July 1, with the first day affected being July 4.

Saturday and Sunday reservations will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the pool cleared between sessions. Weekday hours remain unchanged (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

Pool access is $5 per person on weekdays and $5 per person, per reservation block on weekends. Residents younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What started as a friend's suggestion became a life-changing community for Fran White.

After battling breast cancer, Fran came to the Concord Active Living Center to rebuild her mind and body. She found much more, from exercise and dance groups to Senior Games and lasting friendships.

"When you walk through that door, there's a comfort like you're home," she says. "You can feel safe and you can leave all your problems outside, come in, participate in whatever group you want to do and forget about it for a while."

Get ready to feel the beat with Afton Ridge Active Living Center’s Drum Circle on June 15th from 4:00pm–5:00pm!

Bring your own percussion instrument if you have one and join the group rhythm. Don’t have an instrument? No problem! You’re welcome to borrow one of ours, dance along, or simply hang out and enjoy the atmosphere.

This event will take place outside on our patio, and chairs will be provided. Feel free to bring your own food or drinks, and please check in at the front desk when you arrive.
