51 babies today went home with 40 emergency diapers.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't ask for certain diaper brands. We do not store or package our bundles by brand. Our diapers are donated so we receive all different brands. When we purchase diapers, we choose the ones that are the lowest price at that time. Mostly, our purchased diapers are from Walmart or Amazon, and we buy the house brand. While I understand the brand is important to some people, we are not a store. Many diapers do not have a brand name on them and our volunteers cannot go through the wrapped diapers during a distribution to find a certain brand. We are here to provide emergency diapers. My hope is that what we are providing is keeping your baby clean, dry and healthy. If it is a matter of allergies and not preference, we will need a note from your Dr stating that you cannot use a certain type of diaper and why. We will not accept a note that says baby can only wear ... brand. We cannot guarantee that we will have a certain brand in stock in a certain size and we cannot take calls and messages asking if we have a brand r size in stock.

The middle of the month is the slowest distribution day. If gives our volunteers time to wrap diapers and hold babies.

OMG!! When I got the call last year that the chose us as one of their charities to fund raise for this year I was beyond excited. Last night included lists of uncontrollable emotions. Their gift exceeded all my expectations. Fundraising is hard work - yes work, and these women spent a whole year of their time and love to support our program. From the bottom of our hearts - and all the bottoms that will be covered with clean dry diapers..thank you! Thank you, thank you! and congratulations on all of your end of year national and local recognition for the work that you do

Thank you to Ashley Grech for contacting us wanting to do something for the babies in our community and organizing a taco Tuesday event to promote a diaper drive. And thank you to her colleagues: Erin Mckeon , Karlene Cavalli and Deanna Schmidt for helping the event to be successful and getting the diapers over to the diaper bank. Love what can happen when women get together to help other moms.

Diapers provided for over 100 babies yesterday -

In April Sweet Beginnings Diaper Bank distributed diapers to over 400 babies. 100 more babies than in the previous months. That’s 4000 more diapers. 100 more packs of wipes and almost 600 more feminine hygiene pads. Just a small picture of the present economy and the rising costs of groceries.
