Your kindness will give families, seniors, veterans, and individuals a safe place to sleep and supportive services to help them build new lives.

Round Up for SHELTER, Inc. ends on May 31! Shop for what you need for your garden and patio, garage, or home, and then round up your purchase to help our organization prevent and end homelessness. You are not limited to rounding up to the next dollar. You can give as generously as you wish. Thanks for your support! And thanks to the four participating Ace Hardware stores! We're all smiling this morning! Kat Ross, Manager of our Mt. View Family Shelter, was at the Bank of Contra Costa and Solano to accept a grant check from Theresa Pate, their Remote Services Administrator. This generous grant will allow SHELTER, Inc. to purchase two refrigerators to store healthy snacks and beverages for our families at our shelter. We are grateful for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano's Investment in our organization - and the people we serve.

I had a wonderful experience at Dublin Ace Hardware on Saturday — and I want to share it.

I stopped in to purchase a Craftsman rolling toolbox set and was greeted by C.J., the Assistant Store Manager, and a team that was genuinely kind and attentive from start to finish. That kind of customer experience is worth acknowledging.

What made the visit even more meaningful: Dublin Ace Hardware participates in a Round Up program that benefits SHELTER, Inc., the organization I have the privilege of serving as Director of Development. As I checked out, I learned that customers are not limited to rounding up to the nearest dollar — you can choose to give more. So I did. The process took seconds and could not have been easier.

If you find yourself at Dublin Ace Hardware, I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. Every contribution — large or small — supports our work to prevent and end homelessness across Contra Costa, Solano, Sacramento, and Marin counties. And C.J.'s team will make sure your visit is a good one. I will certainly be back.
