Updates from Laurel Court Community Garden!

This Summer has been a busy one here in Rodeo. Over the past few months the garden has grown and begun to flourish, as projects including the greenhouse, storage sheds, and a stage have all been completed!

Stop by to volunteer, helping us and the Rodeo Citizens Association continue bringing this community space to life!

This week we kick off September with the first Ag Coffee Support Hour in Contra Costa County!

This Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026 at the Knightsen Farm Bureau Hall, technical assistance providers from CCRCD, USDA-NRCS, and UCCE will begin to convene on the first Wednesday of every month to meet and connect with growers to learn where support is needed.

Light refreshments will be provided. No RSVP required.

Don't forget to stop in to CREEC’s Annual Fall Festival this September 19th! 🍁🍂

Kicking off shortly after the Crockett Waterfront Coastal Cleanup Day event, there will be local vendors, live music, CREEC’s famous vegan carrot-dogs, food+drink, hands-on workshops, and more! Come wander the gardens, learn about our natural environment, and celebrate the season with your neighbors!

Join us on Saturday, September 27th from 9am-12pm, to help clean up McNabney Marsh for Coastal Cleanup Day!

This is a marsh close to the waterfront, so please dress for windy weather and wear clothes that can get wet and/or muddy. Wear long pants, durable shoes, and sun protection (hat and/or sunscreen). Please bring a reusable water bottle if you have one. Snacks and water will be provided.
