We had the pleasure of having a group of boys scouts, their leaders and a parent stop by last week to watch the court handle a few cases. Afterwards, we had a Q&A session where the scouts has several great questions.

Even the Justice of the Peace and Constables Office is not immune to theft! Today, the Grinch tried to sneak in and steal our Grinch tree. But, with the swift action of Constable Benson, he was caught "Green Handed" and was brought swiftly before Judge Crews where he was banished from Precinct 2 and never to return again.

We had 3 groups of kindergarten students from Commerce Elementary School stop by the court on Friday on their field trip. They got a brief lesson on what the Justice Court does. Then they got to sit in the Judges chair behind the bench and even "bang" the gavel!

The jury trial scheduled for June 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hunt County Precinct Two Court, Commerce, TX, has been cancelled. Jurors are not required to appear.
