Krista works at the Wastewater Treatment Plant as their Safety Liaison, so you may not see her daily, but if you do see her know that she will help serve wherever she is needed!

The Commerce City Council will hold its work session on Tuesday, September 8th, at 6 PM in the Council Chambers at the Commerce Administrative Complex, 110 State Street.
City Council meetings are open to the public, and community members are welcome to attend.

City of Commerce – Labor Day Schedule Notice

The City of Commerce Administrative Complex, Commerce Public Library, and Commerce Recreation Department will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

Garbage & Recycling Service
Waste Pro will not run routes on Monday, September 7.
Service will resume on Tuesday, September 8. Please place your bins at the curb by 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The Commerce City Council will meet on Tuesday, September 8, at 6:00 p.m. at the Commerce Administrative Complex.
The agenda is available at www.commercega.gov under the orange Agenda and Minutes tab.

Utility Emergencies

🚨 TRAFFIC & POWER OUTAGE NOTICE 🚨

Please use caution on Hospital Road, from Carrington Place to Homer Road.

🌲 Waldrop Tree Service will be working to clear and address downed trees.

City of Commerce Public Works and Commerce Power crews are working on downed power poles in the area.

Parts of the Austin Ridge neighborhood will be without power until further notice while crews work to safely make repairs.

Please slow down, use caution, and give crews plenty of room to work.

The City is flushing hydrants today 09/01/26, at Commerce Public Library , Water Works Road, Jefferson Road, Andrew Jackson Street and Presidential Park area. The flushing is normal maintenance of the water line system; residents may experience low water pressure at times during the day. call 706-335-4200 with any questions.

Notice of Wastewater spill.

The City of Commerce is providing public notice of a wastewater spill discovered on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at approximately 2:00 PM near Beck Road.

City utility crews responded immediately and determined the spill was caused by a blockage in a gravity sewer line. More than 3,000 gallons of untreated wastewater are estimated to have been released onto the ground. No groundwater was impacted.

The ground affected by the spill has been cleaned up and treated with lime. Public notice signs have also been posted around the spill site. EPD was notified on Monday August 31, 2026. The City of Commerce is taking all necessary precautions and complying with EPD guidelines.
