🏈🐯 One Last Walk. One BIG Win. πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Friday night was bittersweet for our class of 2027 seniors as they played their final game at Tiger Stadium.

After the game, our seniors took one last walk across Blake Cooper Field, soaking in the memories of Friday nights under the lights. πŸ₯Ή

And what a way to go out! Our Tigers delivered a HUGE 60-6 victory over Mineola and officially punched their ticket to the PLAYOFFS! πŸ”₯🏈

The last home game may be behind us, but don't put away that orange and black just yet!

Friday Night Lights aren't over for these Tigers!

Senior Night is always something special in Commerce ISD, and Friday night was no exception!

We celebrated our Class of 2027 seniors from the Cross Country and Volleyball teams, recognizing their hard work, dedication, and the memories they've made wearing the orange and black. 🧑

And what better way to top off the celebration than with a Lady Tiger victory?! 🏐πŸ”₯ Our volleyball team took down Rains in four sets, giving our seniors one more reason to smile!

From the special recognitions to the excitement on the court, it was a GREAT night in Tiger Gym!

Congratulations to our seniors! We're proud of the example you've set and can't wait to see what your futures hold.

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger! πŸ…πŸ§‘πŸ–€

❀️🐯 Red Ribbon Week is Here, Tigers! πŸ§‘πŸ–€

It's Red Ribbon Week in Commerce ISD, and we're joining schools across the nation in encouraging students, families, and our community to make healthy choices and commit to living drug-free!

This year's national theme is "Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free." 🦸

Red Ribbon Week is about more than saying NO to drugs. It's about helping our Tigers understand that the choices they make today can shape their futures. From standing up to peer pressure and surrounding themselves with positive influences to finding healthy ways to handle life's challenges, every good decision matters!

We encourage our families to keep these conversations going at home. Talk about making safe choices, setting goals, and knowing when to ask a trusted adult for help.

πŸŽ‰ And of course, we can't forget the FUN!

Our campuses are celebrating with themed dress-up days throughout the week! We love seeing our Tigers show their school spirit while sharing an important message.

πŸ‘‡ Check the comments for each campus's dress-up schedule!

Let's have some fun, make good choices, and remind our Tigers that their futures are worth protecting! β€οΈπŸ…

Who says learning can't be a carnival of fun?! 🎑🍬

Last week, Commerce Elementary School welcomed Tiger families for its annual Title I Parent Meeting, followed by a fun-filled evening of hands-on learning at Falling for Math & Science STEM Night!

Our creative CES teachers turned learning into a carnival-style adventure with engaging math and science games, exciting challenges, prizes, and plenty of candy! 🍭πŸ§ͺπŸ”’

The best part? Our little Tigers were having so much fun, they probably didn't even realize how much they were learning! πŸ˜‰

A big THANK YOU to our CES teachers and staff for putting so much thought and creativity into this event, and to our Tiger families for showing up and joining in the fun!

Learning + Family Fun = A Winning Combination! πŸ§‘πŸ–€

October 19–23 was National School Bus Safety Week, a time to remind students, families, drivers, and our entire community that keeping our Tigers safe on and around school buses is everyone's responsibility!

This year, Commerce ISD adopted a new Student Conduct and Bus Safety Policy, and we're using this week as an opportunity to make sure our families are familiar with it.

The policy covers important topics, including:

🚌 Bus safety rules and equipment regulations
🚫 Prohibited items and activities
🚸 Safe boarding and exiting procedures
πŸ“‹ Student behavior expectations and disciplinary consequences
πŸ”§ Property damage and related responsibilities

We encourage all parents and students who use district transportation to take a few minutes to review the policy together.

πŸ”— Read the full policy here: https://www.commerceisd.org/departments/transportation

A special thank you to our transportation team for the care and attention they give our Tigers every day! From the first pickup to the last drop-off, student safety comes first. πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Sometimes the best professional development happens right inside our own classrooms!

Throughout the school year, Commerce ISD leadership teams have been participating in LIFT Observation Calibration Walkthroughs across the district. That's a fancy way of saying our instructional leaders are working together to make sure they're looking for the same things in great teaching and providing consistent, meaningful feedback to our teachers!

These walkthroughs are part of the Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas (LIFT) initiative through the Texas Education Agency and help strengthen classroom instruction and the use of high-quality instructional materials.

This week, our team visited Commerce High School to observe lessons using the new Bluebonnet Math curriculum, and we got a front-row seat to some fantastic teaching! πŸ‘

🍎 Mr. Ruston Pennington, Algebra I
🍎 Mr. Kristopher Luce, Algebra II

Both teachers delivered outstanding lessons, and we loved getting a sneak peek at the great instruction happening in their classrooms!

We're proud of our teachers who put great instruction into action every day and our leaders who continue learning right alongside them. That's how we keep raising the bar for our Tigers! 🐯🧑
