Update from Road Commission for Oakland County: This project is starting on Thursday September 17th. 🚘

🚧🚦Road work notice! From Road Commission for Oakland County: "RCOC’s contractor is planning to starting milling Commerce Rd from Carrol Lake Rd to Union Lake Rd on September 8. Once the milling is completed shoulder work and paving will start shortly after. All work is done under flag control and the road is open to traffic."

Press Release; "Commerce Township and the Village of Wolverine Lake are providing information regarding the Pathway Bond & Millage Proposal that will appear on the November 3, 2026 General Election ballot.

The proposal asks whether the Charter Township of Commerce should be authorized to borrow up to $18.6 million through Unlimited Tax General Obligation Bonds to acquire and construct paved non-motorized pathways within Commerce Township and the Village of Wolverine Lake."

Multiple fiber optic providers are completing infrastructure work in different areas of the Township. Residents may see several companies installing fiber optic infrastructure in neighborhoods throughout the Township.

Water Department staff will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the month of SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER. This routine maintenance helps ensure the safety of our water supply and maintains high-quality service for our community.🫗💦

Flushing will take place in the following areas:
• E. Oakley Park Road (south) to E. West Maple Road
• Bogie Drive (east) to Haggerty Road

Flushing will occur during regular working hours. (7am – 3pm)
Schedule is subject to change due to weather or operational needs.
