We are an early voting site for registered voters in Commerce Township, Walled Lake, and Wixom!

Early Voting begins on October 24th and will run through November 1st. See below for specific early voting times.

Spooky scary skeletons unite! Today is the day! 💀👻🎃

Join us on our trail from 6:00pm-8:00pm for Trail or Treat. Wear a costume, bring a goodie bag with plenty of room, and consider donating a canned good to Hospitality House. See will see you then!

Participants can park at the Commerce Township Community Library, at Dodge Park #5 (Scarlet's Park), or at the corner of S. Commerce and E. Commerce near Byers Homestead. The trail will have three starting points, all near their respective parking area: The front entrance to the Library, the entrance to the walking path at Scarlet's Park, and the new sidewalk on S. Commerce Road. 🍬

Our Youth Department walls just got a whole lot prettier! Our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Challenge has gotten a facelift and we are so excited for you to see it in person!

Ms. Marissa is holding up the original sketch that she made, which local artist Rhiannan Sibbald beautifully turned into the best treehouse ever! Kids will get a nature-themed shape featuring their name, which they will get to move up the ladder to the treehouse as they make their way through the Reading Challenge.

Thank you for your patience as we rethought and reconfigured this program. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

👻Put on your spookiest costume and join us on Friday, October 23 for Trail or Treat! The event starts at 6:00pm and weaves between Dodge Park #5 and the Commerce Township Community Library. Stop inside the Library along the trail for an all ages Halloween Hop. Don’t forget to bring a goodie bag!

Participants can park at the Commerce Township Community Library, at Dodge Park #5 (Scarlet's Playground), or at the corner of S. Commerce and E. Commerce near Byers Homestead. The trail will have three starting points, all near their respective parking area: The front entrance to the Library, the north end of soccer fields near Dodge Park #5, and the sidewalk on S. Commerce Road.

We will also be collecting donations to Hospitality House Food Pantry at the trail.

Please note that the Library closes at 5pm and will not have a restroom available after that time. A porta potty is available near our playground, and the public restrooms in Dodge Park #5 will be open.

Thank you to Commerce Township Parks And Recreation for organizing this fun-filled event! Registration is optional, but not required.

Due to the weather forecast, Commerce Township Parks And Recreation's Stargazing in the Park has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 17th from 7:00-10:00pm.

Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow this event will be held Saturday from 7-10PM at Victory Park! See you then!

Calling all plant lovers! Our Plant Propagation Station is as bare as the trees in December. Do you have any clippings you've been meaning to bring in? Do you need to trim back some unruly plants? Bring them down to the library so they can find a new house to call home. 🌱

The grown-ups got to throw it back to our Scholastic Book Fair Days at our Adult Book Fair this weekend! Thanks to all who came and waxed nostalgic with us.

And thank you to Schuler Books for providing the books for sale, with 20% of proceeds being donated back to the Library!
