All hail K9 Holland!

It was a true team effort capped off by Holland’s ability to sniff out a fleeing felon and “persuade” him to surrender.

Overnight, agencies in our surrounding jurisdictions got into a pursuit with a retail theft suspect believed to be armed and dangerous.

The pursuit entered our city and we successfully deployed spike strips to deflate the vehicle’s tires, then Colorado State Patrol used their grappler device to bring the vehicle to a stop.

The suspect fled on foot and attempted to hide from K9 Holland but our furry four-legged crime-fighter’s nose knows better— he was located and taken into custody after an unpleasant (for him) interaction with Holland.

Great work, Good Boy(s) and Girls.

We can now officially add mutton bustin’ to our daily duties🐑

What do ewe do when a (maybe Mary’s) little lamb is on the lamb in traffic on 104th?

Well you call in the GOAT— Sergeant Aguilar!

After chasing this baaaad boy or girl all over the busy thoroughfare, Sergeant Aguilar assumed a Patrick Swayze circa Dirty Dancing-like stance to intercept the leaping lamb in his open arms (watch til the end for the grand finale).

She or he was then reunited with a neighbor, who vowed to return the stealthy escape artist to its rightful owner.

Hats off to ewe, Sergeant Aguilar!

But Sergeant Krupa was so smitten by one-year-old Benjamin, he had to let him off with a stern warning to leave the bottle at home next time he gets behind the wheel.

CCPD to the rescue!

When Leelah and Milli’s mom messaged us to say her daughters had a root beer float stand in Belle Creek but hadn’t had a single customer yet… we knew this was our kind of “emergency.”

We didn’t run lights and sirens there but we did book it over to the girls’ makeshift business to show them a little love!

Thanks, ladies, for the delicious drinks and inspiring us with your entrepreneurial spirit❤️

We’re grateful to report only the driver sustained minor injuries when a truck barreled into the living room of a house in the 6300 block of East 54th Avenue overnight.

This— after the driver struck three other cars on I-270 before careening off the interstate and into the residence.

He was transported to the hospital but is facing a multitude of charges to include DUI.

The pictures are mind-blowing; this could have been so much worse.

Our hearts go out to our brothers and sisters in Larimer County. We all feel your loss.

Larimer County, we’re heartbroken to share information about a sudden and tragic loss within our agency.

On June 16, an LCSO Deputy, Sergeant, and Sergeant’s family member were vacationing together on a motorcycle trip. The men were traveling on a North Idaho scenic highway when a pickup truck attempted to pass another vehicle in a marked no-passing zone. The truck crossed the double yellow centerline and collided with the motorcycles, killing all three riders.

The truck driver was arrested and booked into the Idaho County Jail on three counts of vehicular manslaughter. Idaho State Police are investigating this crash.

Out of respect for their families’ strong desire for privacy, we aren’t identifying the deputies at this time.

There are no good words in a situation like this. Put simply, these were incredible people who dedicated their lives to making Larimer County better every single day. They trained hard, they served well, and they loved life. As we walk the long and winding path of grief alongside their families, our resolve is stronger than ever:

For them, we’ll bring light into dark places.
For them, we’ll stand for good and fight against evil.
For them, we’ll live each day with gratitude and carry their legacy forward.

Rest easy, brothers. We’ve got it from here. 💙

Hot dogs are tasty.... but HOT DOGS are deadly!

The temperatures are dangerously high, and we've already had several calls regarding animals left in hot cars.

Even with the windows cracked and food and water inside, this is extremely dangerous.

We don't want to break your window, but if your dog is suffering-- don't think we won't do whatever it takes to save your fur baby's life. Pets are family, after all.

It’s a TBT (Throwback Thursday)!

The Commerce City Police Department is so excited to welcome back Officer Zamora to the CCPD family!

After a decorated 20-year career with our agency, “Jay-Z” retired in 2023 but turns out he wasn’t ready for a life of leisure— he missed us and you too much❤️

He spent his last several years as a beloved school resource officer in both the Adams 14 and 27J Schools and he’s thrilled to be returning to SRO duties this time around as well.

He was officially sworn in again along with our new recruits earlier this week.
