It is time to sign up for the annual Farm to Table Buyers Guide!

The annual Farm to Table Buying Guide supports the marketing of a wide array of local farm products in our area. It also promotes a sense that we have a community of farmers that have a broad variety of products to sell to local citizens.

The farm guide provides advertising not only for local farms but also for our farmers markets and businesses and restaurants in our region that source products from local farms. About 5,000 copies of the Farm to Table Guide will be distributed at strategic locations around the area. Producers may also have bundles of 2016 guides to distribute.

If you are interested in signing up or receiving more information please email us at [email protected]

Our local farmers are getting ready for our community's spring and summer produce needs!

A flat full of tiny kale plants. I love to see little green plants growing this time of year. It speaks of the promise of spring and new life as well as the hope of an abundant summer.

POWER UP YOUR COMMUNICATION! POWER UP YOUR FARM! is the theme for the 5th Annual

Women in Agriculture Conference.

Enjoy a day of inspiration, learning and networking with other women farmers. Our one-day gathering takes place simultaneously in 31 locations throughout Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Alaska and will feature knowledgeable speakers, inspiring stories, practical advice for improving farm management skills and don't forget - networking with other women producers.

Wendy Knopp and Michael Stolp from Northwest Farms Credit Services, will help you discover your communication style and "pull out" your personality traits to change as the situation changes. Your new skills will improve decision making, build better teams and connect marketing to what motivates prospects and customers. Be prepared to leave this conference with new ways to manage, inspire and influence people.

Shelly Boshart Davis, a farmer from Tangent, Oregon, will explain how she changed her communication approach to improve her business strategies, motivate employees, work with her family and increase business sales.

This conference is designed for women who have been farming for years, as well as for new and aspiring farmers.

The CSH Foundation is providing partial scholarships for aspiring farmers, college agriculture students and 4-H and FFA members. Visit the "Scholarship" link on our web page, www.womeninag.wsu.edu, or contact Margaret at [email protected] for an application.

Mark your calendar and join other women (men are also welcome!) to learn, network and be ready to take action!
