Rural Resources Community Action Since 1965, Rural Resources Community Action has helped residents of Northeast Washington help themselves and each other.

We offer hope to children, seniors and families by working to create stronger and more stable communities for all. Rural Resources Community Action offers a variety of services in each of our offices located throughout Eastern Washington. We currently have offices in Colville, Clarkston, Davenport, Ione, Newport, Pullman, and Republic and Early Childhood classrooms in Chewelah, Colville, Kettle Falls, Newport, Cusick, Springdale and Valley.

During Community Action Month, we’re looking back at the impact our Community Based Teams made across Northeast Washington in 2025.

From recovery support and home health services to care coordination and representative payee assistance, these programs help community members stay connected, supported, and stable every day.

All Rural Resources offices will close at 12:00P.M. on Thursday, May 28 for our annual spring cleaning. Offices will reopen on Friday, May 29 at 8:00A.M.

Our Early Childhood / Head Start classrooms will NOT be closed and will operate on their normal schedules, and all transportation services will run as scheduled.

Our Mobile Food Pantry will be in Fruitland on Tuesday, May 26 at the Metaline Falls Congregational United Church of Christ from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

Free food items will be provided to anyone in need of food assistance while supplies last. Our Mobile Market free food distributions serve people facing hunger. No appointment needed. Rural Resources Community Action is an equal opportunity provider.
