Hello Colusa County — I’m Bob Buckner, and I’m proud to serve as your current Colusa County Assessor.
Today, I’m honored to officially announce that I am running for Colusa County Assessor. After years of serving this community and working alongside our residents, businesses, and agricultural partners, I’m committed to continuing the work of building an office that is fair, transparent and focused on serving the people of Colusa County.
While I wasn’t born and raised here, my spouse and I chose to make Colusa our home because we believe in this community, its agricultural roots, and its small-town values. This is where we planted our roots, and where I’ve dedicated my career to public service.
I bring over 25 years of experience working in County Assessor offices. That experience matters in a small, rural county like ours, where understanding residential, commercial, and agricultural properties is essential to ensuring assessments are fair, accurate, and consistent for everyone.
As your current Colusa County Assessor, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, work alongside our dedicated staff, manage the department budget, and handle assessment appeals. My goal is simple — to serve this community with transparency, professionalism, and respect.
Colusa isn’t just where I work — it’s home. I’m committed to continuing to serve this community and building an Assessor’s Office that works for you.
