Today we met at Barack Community Center to review storm damage and the planned repairs supported by Mayor Ginther’s proposed 2026 capital budget. The budget includes major investments to replace the roof and gym floor and restore water damaged areas so the center can reopen safely by late spring.

We also checked in at Lincoln Park, where nearly $1 million in improvements — including new lighting, a walking path, and a futsal court — are underway.

Our teams remain focused on restoring these key neighborhood spaces and keeping programs moving for the community.

The future of the East Side Rail Trail starts with you! 🌳

We’re working with community members to design a 3-mile greenway linear trail that connects neighborhoods, creates new opportunities to walk and bike and brings more park space to the East Side. The trail will run from East Broad Street to Bostwick Road along a former rail corridor. Join us for the East Side Rail Trail Community Open House:
