Parents and students are seeing school cuts across Ohio. This is exclusively thanks to Republicans, like Steve Demetriou, who voted to cut school budgets to pay for a fancy new stadium.

Akron school employees and parents say the proposed staffing cuts will negatively impact students. The school board then delayed its vote on cuts.

Lima schools are cutting 3.7% of their staff because of Republican cuts to public schools. These budget cuts are happening all over Ohio, leaving teachers without jobs and children without good educations.

Perry Township is breaking ground on a massive tax abated data center. This project is at the Metallus (formerly TimkenStreel) Faircrest plant which is owned and operated by Senator Jane Timken's family.

So while Stark County residents are seeing their utility prices rise, Timken and her family are profiting millions!

A new data center planned for Perry Township would create 670 construction jobs. Its developer has released new details about the project.

In June 2025, many Ohio consumers saw electric supply price increases of 10% to 35%. Connecting data centers to the grid often requires new or upgraded transmission infrastructure, costs that have historically been shared by all consumers. One study estimated that transmission upgrades cost U.S. consumers about $4 billion in 2024.

Fans shouldn't be attacking referees or players at any level, let alone at school sporting events. That's why Joe Miller for Ohio is making sponsoring HB 79.

"We see it all the time. I have been fortunate enough not to be assaulted physically. I’ve had a few very upset parents and coaches and kids,” Rep. Miller said. “That’s something these kids do not need to see adults engaging in. This is not the solution for a disagreement.”

This legislation is going to keep kids, parents, and referees safe.
