Congrats to our good friend Jim Buchy!

“This year, they plan to honor a living legend with a statue in an area held by his family since the late 1800s. A statue will be erected of Jim Buchy along the Buchy Mile of the Darke County Parks’ Tecumseh Trail and across from Garst Museum. The monument will feature Buchy looking out over the property he and his family had owned through several generations.”

Congratulations to new Ohio House Speaker State Representative Jason Stephens.

"We need a speaker who is willing to listen to everyone," Brett Hillyer for State Representative, R-Ulrichsville, said as he nominated Stephens. He thought the new speaker would listen to everyone and unite factions.

In a surprise move, Republican Jason Stephens won the Ohio House speaker post over state Rep. Derek Merrin. Merrin had tentatively won the job.
