I'm proud to announce the appointment of Shaw Prewitt of Shannon, Mississippi, to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Shaw is an exceptional student at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science and an accomplished athlete in wrestling, powerlifting, and football. He is also an Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America Troop 12 and served as County Representative for American Legion Boys State, among other achievements. Congratulations, Shaw.

I am proud to announce the appointment of Noel "Trice" McMichael III of Shannon, Mississippi, to the United States Naval Academy.

Trice is a high-achieving student at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. He has excelled in martial arts, earning multiple honors. He has also pursued research opportunities in science and technology, including serving as a lab technician and research student for ARISE at the University of Mississippi. Congratulations, Trice.

Congratulations to Isabel Beckman on becoming the State Champion in triple jump this year and last year for Class 1A! Isabel also placed 4th in the long jump this year. She holds MSMS’s current school record in the triple jump (on milesplit).
