Our Residency 2 interns are officially in the field!
They kicked off the semester with a tour of Hunt Intermediate School and are now in classrooms, learning alongside mentor teachers, working with students, and putting their preparation into practice.

Volunteer opportunity on campus!

SOMETIMES THE MOST VALUABLE THING YOU CAN GIVE IS YOUR TIME. 💙

STUDENTS: The Lowndes County MILC League is looking for Mothers’ Helpers on Thursdays from 3:15–4:45 p.m. Volunteers spend time playing and reading with toddlers and helping with babies while moms participate in our weekly breastfeeding support group. (We have fun developmentally appropriate items ready!)

Give one Thursday or give several. A little of your time can make a real difference for a local family. On International Day of Charity, we’re celebrating the people who show up for others, and inviting you to join them.

Because building stronger communities starts with people willing to show up.

THE WORK THAT BUILDS MISSISSIPPI. 💪 For more than 140 years, The W has believed in the people who do the work. We’re proud to prepare them, support them, and serve alongside them across Mississippi.

This Labor Day weekend, we celebrate the teachers in our classrooms, the support staff who keep our schools moving, and the education professionals serving children and families every day. And we celebrate the school leaders who support them.

We hope your long weekend brings a little rest to those who spend their days pouring into others. Strong communities start with strong educators.
