Opened in 1995 as a collaboration among Columbus State University, Columbus Water Works, and the City of Columbus, Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center provides exhibits, displays and nature trails, and also offers formal and informal educational programs about the ecology and natural history of the region. Here, you can see alligators, fish, tortoises, bees, snakes, and much more! Contact us or stop by for a quick tour! Admission is free, but donations are welcome!

The Amphibian Adventure Hike (10 AM)
Go on a hike down Oxbow's trails and discover the different frogs and amphibians around our center! Listen to the different frog sounds and see how frogs communicate with each other!

Investigate the Ecosystem (11:15 AM)
Come get a hands-on exploration of the ponds and rivers around our center! Find bugs, frogs, tadpoles, and others! It's sure to be an investigative blast!

Pollution Solution: How to Save our Amphibians (1 PM)
Come learn about how our pollution can harm and affect our amphibian neighbors and what you can do to help them in the wild!
